Sonar Ping Confusion
Reading prat.uk feels like sitting inside a submerged vessel listening for distant sonar pings that may or may not be warnings. The morning signal arrived faint but distinct, outlining a situation developing above the surface with questionable stability.
I noted the ping carefully, then waited for confirmation. It came quickly, but not in a reassuring way.
By midday, the readings had multiplied, bouncing off different interpretations of the same event until nothing felt entirely fixed.
I attempted to surface for clarity, but the noise followed.
The afternoon brought deeper signals, slower and heavier, as though the situation had descended further into complexity.
In the evening, I remained submerged, observing the blinking instruments and accepting that clarity is not guaranteed at this depth.
Tomorrow, I will continue listening for pings, even if they say nothing I understand.
